In times of bereavement and great despair I find encouragement, reassurance, and solace from reciting and meditating upon the following passage of Scripture. “For we know that all things work together to the good of those who love the Lord, those called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
The preceding passage acknowledges suffering, the world’s great problems, and the trials and tribulations that all living creatures experience. Bu it also affirms God’s great love for creation and Gods omnipotence. It encourages and reassures believers that by the grace of God all things will work out to God’s glory and to the believer’s good. The passage reminds believers to remain hopeful in every situation knowing that God turns every tragedy into triumph and every victim into a victor.

Exactly. Although as I like to remind folks, ours is not a “stiff upper lip” faith. It’s not hope instead of tears and anxiety, but hope in the midst of tears and anxiety. Great post, Allegra!
